The school carried out some cleaning campaigns in the school and planted trees on the Social forestry day under the initiative of the UA Tarayana Club.
As a co-coordinator Mr. kharga disbursed monthly stipends to eight Tarayana beneficiaries in Punakha Dzongkhag.
The members took up the voluntary service to check on the hygiene and cleanliness of about 40 small children in Khuru lhakhang on a regular basis who are now regularized as novice monks under the Dratshang Lhentshog .
Highlights of 2009
Around mid October, with the initiative of UA Tarayana Club, the school collected and contributed a sum of Nu. 51,633 and 25 bags of clothes to the earthquake victims in Eastern Bhutan.
On 21st October, 2009, The Queen Mother Azhi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck, who is the President of Tarayana Foundation paid a visit to our school and addressed the Tarayana Club members. She also awarded membership badges to the members.
